IIT Delhi and Vikrant Institute of Technology and Management Collaborate to Organize State-Level Workshop on Virtual Lab
Indore, [30 May 2023]: In a significant collaboration, IIT Delhi and Vikrant Institute of Technology and Management organized a state-level virtual lab workshop on 30 May 2023. This event brought together experts and educators from various engineering institutions to explore the potential of virtual labs in practical education.
The one-day workshop aimed to enhance the understanding and utilization of virtual laboratory resources among professors and students. Representatives from IIT Delhi, including Mr. Tanmay Tarun Das (Project Manager), Mr. Prateek Sharma (Outreach Coordinator), and Mr. Akshat Agarwal (Regional Coordinator), collaborated with Principal Professor Jitendra Singh Dodiya and Assistant Director Dr. Sandeep Shukla of Vikrant Institute to orchestrate the event.
The workshop began with Saraswati Puja, followed by a welcome address from Dr. Sandeep Shukla, highlighting the importance of virtual labs in technical education. Dr. Tanmay Tarun Das from IIT Delhi delivered an insightful presentation on emerging trends and applications of virtual lab technology in fields like engineering, medicine, and research.
Participants engaged in hands-on demonstrations of virtual lab tools and software, experiencing simulations and remote-controlled experiments. Interactive sessions allowed attendees to ask questions, exchange ideas, and discuss the implementation of virtual labs in their institutions.
Certificates of participation were awarded to all attendees, recognizing their commitment to advancing virtual lab technologies. The workshop concluded with a sense of optimism, as participants looked forward to incorporating virtual labs into their curricula and enhancing the learning experience for students.
